Writer's picture: Roc BaroneRoc Barone

The biggest problem that could affect a project in project risk management is when doing a risk assessment is check listing. Check listing is when the person doing a risk assessment is just using a list of common problems instead of looking at all possible risks for a project, this will cause some possible problems to be missed. One problem that could be detrimental to the project is by not correctly estimate how problematic a risk could be. If the risk is underestimated there will not be enough efforts set aside to avoid them or if the risk is overestimated too many could be used to avoid the risk. The final big problems with risk management is not continuing to do risk management after the planning phase of the project. If you are not continuing to do risk management some unexpected risks could arise that could have been avoid by doing another assessment of the risks.
