The biggest problem when it comes to resource management is not having proper planning. If you do not have the correct plan for you resources you will have some parts of the project being assigned too many resources, caused by some people saying they need more recourses to complete a project than they actually do, this will lead to other parts of the project to not have the required amount of resources. To avoid this from happening it is important to have someone who is qualified with resource management to plan out the resources. Also by having good resource management will be able to allow to the team better estimate how long a project will take and help out with planning the project schedule. Another thing to pay attention to while planning out your resource assessing the potential changes that could happen during the project lifecycle. By not allocating enough of the resources to be used in case of unexcepted changes, when these changes do arise you will either have to over use the resources or just not be able to make the changes.
